Back to Basics

Lately, I’ve developed an attraction to the look of film. I think everything about it is wonderful. Every shot you take requires thought and care. You’re not shooting to look at how it turns out on the other side of the camera. I picked up my old Nikon F-401s, the first camera I had in my possession. Now I’ve shot film during my high school years, but it wasn’t anything serious. I was more interested on how clear the pictures developed and what not. I’m hoping to just go around with this and learn more about composition and exposure. I think shooting film is one of the best ways to learn how to shoot wisely, and I think its one thing that every “photographer” needs to learn. It’s not just about what kind of gear you’re working with, its what you can do with it. Now with that said, time to shoot some film! (and yes, i am aware that these polaroids aren’t film. i just thought they’d add something to the picture. hah. :])
